Most Premier League clubs have returned after their summer break to pre season, a time of getting match fitness and sharpness up is crucial for the upcoming season. It is also usual for clubs to travel across the globe playing matches in places as far as Australia to overseas fans who seldom get an opportunity to watch their team live.

ARSENAL

The Gunners begin their set of matches with a short trip to Boreham Wood before heading of the United States to face Colorado Rapids and competing in the prestigious International Champions Cup against some European heavyweights. A day later, Arsenal play locals Barnet ahead of facing Lyon in the Emirates Cup, play Angers in southern France and complete their preparations with a game against Barcelona in the Joan Gampher Trophy.
